Summer Camp

Earth and Beyond!

This Summer at Stepping Stone School, the children will discover what makes our world so amazing! With weekly themes focusing on Animals, Plants, Conservation, Weather, Space and Geology they will gain an in-depth understanding of the Earth through hands-on creation and imagination. S.T.R.E.A.M. principles are integrated into all of our curricula. Our campers will participate in exciting activities, science-based experiments and investigations weekly. They will develop problem-solving skills through critical-thinking projects specific to each featured subject, including, coding, cooking, playing chess, outdoor activities, creating videos and much more!

From building telescopes and weather stations to dissecting owl pellets and growing plants and brine shrimp, children will be active participants in their learning. During the course of each biweekly subject, students will create art and participate in science experiments based on the weekly concept. Creative writing projects will be compiled at the end of the summer into a classroom book.

This will be accomplished through classroom activities, experiments, exciting field journeys and our exclusive Joy and Mindfulness CurriculumTM. Children will participate in activities designed to help them develop a greater joy in their daily lives. They will participate in mindfulness exercises, virtual trips around the globe, yoga, social media postings and community games to help them be more at peace with the world and people around them.

The Brainery -Stepping Stone School Summer Camp

Kindness and Empathy

The Brainery summer camp offers a series of compassion and character-building activities to accompany each lesson plan. Research demonstrates helping others is key to happiness. There will also be weekly activities dedicated to growing the kindness, empathy, and character of our campers. Your children will also have an opportunity to participate in guided reflective thinking each day.

Every activity your child participates in at The Brainery will further their knowledge, increase their curiosity, peak their imagination and move them forward in their development.

The Atelier

The Atelier is a unique and innovative concept designed specifically by Stepping Stone School to expand the artistic and design opportunities for our children. The Atelier raises the bar for school-age experiences beyond anything offered elsewhere.

The experience goes beyond the mere provision of materials. It focuses on the inner creative genius inherent in all children and provides them with character and creative role models, allowing them to set goals and ascend to the highest levels of their creative potential. By pairing information with imagination, our children will be offered a priceless opportunity to exponentially expand their creativity, problem solving capabilities and the harmonizing of their ideas with others.
