Summer Camp

Ancient Civilizations

This summer at Stepping Stone School’s Summer Break Camp at The BraineryTM, we will uncover Ancient Civilizations as we explore some of the most famous and influential societies of early history. Each two week session learning plan will focus on a different ancient culture. Campers will discover the history and people of each civilization, as well as the contributions they made to the world impacting us today.

Our Summer Camp offers the unique antidote to summer brain drain with six specialty camps all in one place! All of our bi-weekly lesson plans are based on our unique Platinum Learning for LifeTM curriculum, with S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) principles and projects incorporated to immerse your child in a whole-child adventure nourishing their mind, body and spirit.

From creating hanging gardens and apple mummies, to writing in Chinese and Mayan, the children will be hands-on participants in their learning. Our students will also discover what makes each civilization unique and how they have impacted human history and society. Our program will excite and energize children by showing them that discovery can not only be fun, but can shape the world for years to come.

The experts will put the themes into real world context, demonstrating the importance of understanding the world and opening doors to future professions. Furthermore, Weekly Field Journeys will immerse our campers in each of the specialty camp topics.

Campers at Stepping Stone School will also participate in our unique Young Entrepreneur and PhilanthropistTM program. The Atelier

The Atelier is a unique and innovative concept designed specifically by Stepping Stone School to expand the artistic and design opportunities for our children. Created for ages three and up, The Atelier raises the bar of Early Care and Education experiences beyond anything offered elsewhere.

The experience goes beyond the mere provision of materials. It focuses on the inner creative genius inherent in all children and provides them with character and creative role models allowing them to set goals and ascend to the highest levels of their creative potential. By pairing information with imagination, our children will be offered a priceless opportunity to exponentially expand their creativity, problem solving capabilities and the harmonizing of their ideas with others.

Young Entrepreneurs & PhilanthropistsTM

Stepping Stone School is proud to incorporate entrepreneurship and philanthropy into our summer camp program. Over the course of the summer, the children will create and run a series of four businesses from the ground up.

From the purchasing of supplies to the division of duties and pricing the products, students control all aspects of their enterprises. They will decide what types of items to produce and how much to sell them for, as well as creating advertising for their products. Finally, they will sell their products at the front of the school every few weeks.

All of the proceeds from our businesses go to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Austin and Scotty's House in College Station.

To date, our young philanthropists have donated over $80,000 to this worthwhile cause.
