Chess

Strategic thinking, pattern recognition, and analytical decision-making — introduced to Advanced Pre-K and school-age students across Stepping Stone campuses.

Chess is more than a game at Stepping Stone School

Stepping Stone School introduces the traditional, yet revolutionary game of chess to its Advanced Pre-K and school-age students. Children learn the history of the game, how each piece moves, and strategies for winning — then put those skills to the test in real tournaments. Studies show children who play chess improve analytical and critical thinking, visualization, math, and reading skills. But the benefits go well beyond academics.
