Accreditation + Recognition

Accreditations

Many Stepping Stone Schools have earned accreditations from state and national organizations with requirements exceeding Texas’ Licensing Standards.

These accreditation systems establish professional standards for early childhood education programs, helping families identify the highest-quality programs for their children.

National Accreditation Commission (NAC) for Early Care and Education Programs
Stepping Stone Schools I, II, V & VI

NAC Accreditation, under the umbrella of the National Association of Child Care Professionals, recognizes program professionalism and quality, while respecting program autonomy and uniqueness. NAC Accreditation involves a three-step process of self-study, validation and commission review.

Texas School Ready!

The Texas School Ready! project, developed by the Children’s Learning Institute, acknowledges preschool programs that raise school readiness through research-based curriculum, technology-driven child-progress monitoring, facilitated teacher professional development, ongoing teacher mentoring, and participation in the Texas School Readiness Certification System.

Texas Rising Star Provider
Stepping Stone Schools I, II, V, X & XI

Texas Rising Star Providers voluntarily meet requirements that exceed the State’s Minimum Licensing Standards for childcare facilities, and have an agreement to serve Texas Workforce Commission-subsidized children.

Recognitions

Central Texas parents have voted Stepping Stone School the best in childcare for 14 years through Austin Family magazine.

Parents at Nickelodeon ParentsConnect have named us Austin’s Best Preschool.

It’s this sort of thoughtful validation – from family leaders and leaders in the field alike – that keeps us aiming higher and helps make Stepping Stone School the best.
