Stepping Stone School founder, owner and executive director Rhonda Paver, while earning her Master’s degree in child development, did her research and thesis on transitions. So with her academic expertise and 30+ years of practical experience, we tend to be ultra-sensitive in easing change for children.

All Stepping Stone School team members undergo extensive training on the best ways to help students cope with transition and separation anxiety. And the Watch Me Grow video monitoring system we have at eight of our campuses is extremely helpful for parents concerned when their children begin at Stepping Stone School, or when they move to a new classroom. Parents can watch their children via real-time video feed on monitors in the welcome area or principal’s office, without the children seeing them and it fueling further anxiety.

Yes. Weather permitting, all students get outside playtime on our age-appropriate playgrounds. When temperatures are above 95° or below 45° (including heat index or wind chill), the children enjoy other physical activity and play inside.

We believe in positive discipline such as redirection and one-on-one problem-solving to develop your child’s ability to self-regulate. Our teachers never berate, embarrass, punish, or withhold food or activities in order to discipline children.

Corporate partner benefits vary depending upon the agreement we have with your employer. You can check your company’s intranet website for employee benefits, or you can ask your company’s benefits coordinator or the campus principal for details about your benefits eligibility.

Stepping Stone School owner and executive director Rhonda Paver is devoted to keeping high-quality early education and childcare affordable – after all, it was her search for affordable, high-quality care and schooling for her own young children that led to her founding Stepping Stone School!
