Providing a learning environment that promotes a sense of cleanliness, wellness and security is our number-one priority. We employ dozens of hygienic practices and safety measures, including 24-hour video surveillance, employee background and criminal-history checks, and stringent name-to-face transition procedures. Stepping Stone School founder, owner and executive director Rhonda Paver, while earning her Master’s degree in child development, did her research and thesis on transitions. So with her academic expertise and 30+ years of practical experience, we tend to be ultra-sensitive in easing change for children.
All Stepping Stone School team members undergo extensive training on the best ways to help students cope with transition and separation anxiety. And the Watch Me Grow video monitoring system we have at eight of our campuses is extremely helpful for parents concerned when their children begin at Stepping Stone School, or when they move to a new classroom. Parents can watch their children via real-time video feed on monitors in the welcome area or principal’s office, without the children seeing them and it fueling further anxiety.
