Enrichments
Stepping Stone School is proud to offer extracurricular enrichment programs at every center. These unique programs have been selected based on fundamentals that enhance children’s knowledge and experience in the areas of Health and Wellness, Dance, Computer Technology, Music, and Martial Arts. Stepping Stone School’s "Opus One" music education program is provided to all children, ages 3 and up, at no additional cost. All other enrichment programs are available for a minimal fee, which is paid directly to the program. Please ask a center administrator for information regarding a particular program.
Dance
Your child can explore the exciting fitness aspects of our dance program. Led by trained professional instructors, our dance classes give children opportunities to creatively express themselves. Through age-appropriate instruction, your child will learn and practice the creative movement techniques of ballet, tap, and jazz; additional dance techniques are offered for older children as well. Recitals allow family members to watch the success of their skilled dancers in action.
Computer Technology
Our Computer Technology class will introduce your child (ages 3-5 years) to more than just a computer. Students learn basic programming using robots, experiment with digital microscopes and cameras, and have a great time reinforcing their academic readiness skills by using age and developmentally appropriate software. Cognitive development advances and children become more technology competent, all while having fun discovering new ideas.
Opus One Music
Music education has been shown to improve concentration, memory, and self-expression. Our fun, energetic, age-appropriate Opus One music experience program will provide your child with the opportunity to explore a variety of instruments, songs and creative movement. Each lesson focuses on ear training, rhythmic patterns, music appreciation, singing, and the fundamentals of music. These activities are geared toward improving motor and cognitive development, and practice special reasoning tasks, while participating in a creative experience.
Martial Arts
This specially designed Kung Fu program allows children to build a love for Martial Arts. Each focused class advances children at their own pace, allowing them to develop a strong character and self-esteem. By practicing Martial Arts basics and techniques for self-protection, your children gain a feeling of success and pride by earning higher-level belts, while strengthening their endurance and flexibility.
